01. What is JHB In Stride?
JHB In Stride is a creative reel competition forming part of Runner Awards™ Gauteng 2026. Selected production teams are tasked with producing short-form video content that celebrates running culture, creativity and community within Gauteng.
02. Who can participate in JHB In Stride?
The competition is open to registered production companies, creative teams and professional content creators based in South Africa who meet the entry requirements outlined in the Rules & Terms.
03. How do I enter the competition?
Participants must submit their portfolios and required entry information via the official application form on this website during the open submission period.
04. Is there a cost to enter?
No. Entry into the JHB In Stride competition is free unless otherwise stated.
05. How are finalists selected?
Finalists are selected by the Runner Awards™ panel based on creativity, storytelling, technical quality and alignment with the assigned category.
06. What categories will participants work on?
Finalists will be assigned Runner Awards™ categories through an official category draw once shortlisted.
07. How long do finalists have to produce their reels?
Finalists will have a six-week production period to conceptualise, film and submit their final reels.
08. What is the duration of the reels?
Submitted reels must be between 90 and 120 seconds in length.
09. Who owns the content submitted?
Participants retain ownership of their work. However, by entering, participants grant Runner Awards™ the right to use submitted content for promotional, marketing and archival purposes related to the competition.
10. How does public voting work?
Once nominees are announced, public voting will open on the official Runner Awards™ platform. The top nominees per category will be shortlisted based on public votes.
11. Can I nominate a running club outside my province?
No. Nominations must be made within the participant’s respective province to ensure fair regional representation.
12. When and where will the winners be announced?
Winners will be announced at the Runner Awards™ Gauteng 2026 Ceremony, taking place on 18 July 2026 at the Sandton Convention Centre.
