The Runner Awards KwaZulu-Natal 2025 marked the historic launch of South Africa’s first dedicated awards platform for the road running community. As the inaugural edition of Runner Awards™, the KZN event set the foundation for a credible, community-driven celebration of excellence across athletes, coaches, clubs, and running events.

Grounded in the Runner Awards™ commitment to recognising verified performance, community impact, and sportsmanship, the 2025 ceremony highlighted the individuals whose dedication keeps KwaZulu-Natal – and South Africa, moving forward. From grassroots runners and development clubs to elite performers and race organizers, this milestone event honoured those who continue to elevate the sport of road running.

The evening brought together athletes, club leaders, coaches, partners, and enthusiasts in a vibrant celebration of achievement, unity, and inspiration. As the first province to host Runner Awards™, KwaZulu-Natal proudly set the benchmark for the national journey ahead – proving that when we acknowledge excellence, we uplift an entire community.
